This restaurant is highly recommended not only because of its good kitchen service, which is also very positive in terms of price. The presentation, the rustic charm of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. The rabbit leg was well cooked and the savoy cabbage with it was a dream, only the sauce of the leg was a bit very tight for my taste, which is whining on a high level. The fried potatoes were fried until crispy and not drowned in oil. Even the porcelain or the earthenware on which the food was served was very chic. No tourist junk, but honest cuisine. Gladly again!

Incredibly good food! We had the beef roulade, spinach dumplings with pumpkin and a chestnut soup and it was all on point. We haven't eaten so well in a long time, although we often eat out. HUGE compliments to the chef 👌🏼 ambience also very cozy and welcoming, very nice service

I found this place by searching "Best restaurants in Neustadt." Unfortunately, I can't tell you about the food, because when I walked in and asked for a table for one, I was told, 'No," with no explanation or apologies. Do not recommend for the solo traveller or really, anybody.

I really like it. Food so far always top and appealing. Reservations necessary there very much in demand.

Beautiful ambience, romantic interior. As food there were mushrooms on waffle with salad, there was before including small appetizer. Food tasted, but for me a tiny trace too salty. Service in a dirndl, as I said just great, out of the ordinary atmosphere.

The greeting from the kitchen was quite good, but indefinable. Eat plenty. We were there with 6 people, unfortunately it was not possible to serve 2x hot fries. Only one came hot and the other cold. When complaining, there was no excuse, which is a shame. In our opinion, sauces were not homemade either, at least the cream sauce, which is very easy.

Great traditional German restaurant, offering good solid food and local wines served by staff in regional costumes. Lovely old building near the town centre, giving a sense of being immersed in local culture. Some of the best food we had on our 2 week holiday. The Bauern Schnitzel - breaded pork steak with fried onions and bacon, with a side of fried potatoes and topped with an egg, was extremely tasty. The bill came to €53 for 2 starters, 2 mains, a bottle of local wine (exceptional wine at an exceptional price €13) and a large glass of federweisser (part fermented new wine).

We found the Gerberhaus to be a wonderful place with a good selection of local wines and local cuisine along with friendly people. It is a nice non touristy place for a meal.
